enlightening programs and classes are always free to attend and include a

GLOWING READS - ADULT WINTER READING PROGRAM
Glowing Reads, the adult winter reading program began January 18th
and goes through
February 27th. Adults are invited to reach for the gold by reading at the
Urbandale Library. Participation is easy…just pick up a reading packet at
any Library service desk, read and turn in an
entry form for each book you read or listen to for your chance to win a great prize!

TEEN VIDEO GAME NIGHT
Friday, February 12 from 6:00-9:00pm.
Teens, come to the Urbandale Library and rock out with your friends on one
of the music/rhythm stations, test your hand at one of the Wii™ interactive
games, or jump on one of the library’s computers and play against others on
the network. Exclusively for teens age 13-17. Please register by Thursday,
February 11 by calling 331-4488.
INTRODUCTION TO ZUMBA®
FITNESS
Tuesday, February 23 at 6:30pm.
This is your chance to try out a popular Urbandale Parks & Recreation class
for FREE! Zumba® Fitness is a high energy, fast-paced total body workout
using a spicy, upbeat mixture of salsa, meringue, samba, belly dancing,
hip-hop and many other beats and dance moves. Space is limited so call
331-4488 today to register! Information on how to sign up for regular
classes through Urbandale Parks & Recreation can be found at

FREE PRACTICE ACT
Saturday, February 27 at 9:00am. Improve your test scores! Juniors
and Seniors who want to perform their best on the ACT and gain valuable
insight into what to expect on the test should plan to take this practice
test! Scores will be available on Tuesday, March 9th at 5pm and a special
seminar, Acing the ACT, will follow. The practice test and seminar are
sponsored by Sylvan Learning.
BOOK CLUB INFORMATION
On the Same Page
On the Same Page, the evening book discussion group, meets on the third
Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm in the library Conference Room. The
next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 17th at 7:30pm. The group will
discuss All the Names by Jose Saramago. Pick
up a copy at the library Circulation Desk while supplies last. For more

Brown Bag Book Club
The Brown Bag Book Club meets at lunch time on the last Tuesday and Thursday of the
month from noon to 1:00pm in Meeting Room A of the library. The next meetings
will be on Tuesday, February 23rd and Thursday, February 25th at 12 noon. The group will discuss
A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick. For more information contact
