Dear Friend of the Library,
Through the efforts of an excellent staff, suggestions from patrons, and funding from the City of Urbandale and the Urbandale Library Foundation, we are able to provide outstanding library services to the community.
Did you know?

Staff answered over 20,000 questions last year from the public.
·
649,028 items were checked out of the library.
·
430 educational programs were held at the library.
·
27,040 people used the meeting rooms.
·
7,679 people attended library programs.
·
45,696 people have library cards.
·
39 computers are available for public use.
The Foundation continues to raise funds to enhance the services provided by the City of Urbandale, expand the resources of the Library, and meet the needs of library patrons.
And as we approach the end of another successful year, the Foundation asks for your assistance to enable us to continue to expand programs into the future. Your contribution will allow us to purchase new adult books, audio books, children’s books, travel videos, computer programs, music CDs and much more.
During the past year, the Foundation received $19,187 which enabled us to:

Purchase Book Pages, a reader advisory magazine free to patrons

Help fund the new Butterfly Learning Garden

Offer monthly programs for adults

Support first ever adult reading club

Sponsor volunteer luncheon

Purchase kaleidoscope for front patio
