Audiobooks now available!
Now you can check out audiobooks from your library at your home or office!  As part of the WILBOR consortium, the Urbandale Public Library is offering audiobooks for its patrons to download and listen.

Your library card is the "key" to downloading the audiobooks, from any computer that is connected to the Internet, at any hour of the day.  From a website you can browse or search for a title you'd like to listen to, log in with your library card number, and download the title to your computer.  You can then listen to the book on your computer, or transfer to an mp3 player to listen.

WILBOR's collection has fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as books for children and teens.  Bestsellers and classics, history and humor, business and self help--you'll find them all in WILBOR.  Books will check out for 1 week and the file will "expire" on your computer after 1 week, but when the books are transferred to an mp3 player you can take your time listening to them.  Some titles can even be burned to CDs for your own, personal use.
