Study Room Policy

(download)

1.    The Library has six study rooms available for group study. Two rooms will accommodate six people and four are limited to two persons. The study rooms are not available for the purpose of selling merchandise or services, soliciting for later sales or social events.

2.    Check in at the reference desk for access to the rooms. All study rooms may be reserved at the reference desk up to 30 days in advance. Reservations will be cancelled if the group has not arrived after ten minutes.

3.    Study room usage is limited to four hours per day. If no one is waiting, room usage may be extended, however, if a person or group wants to use the room, the original party will have 5 minutes to vacate the room.  The six person study rooms are for groups of two or more. If all two person rooms are occupied an individual may use a large study room for a full four hours. If the two small study rooms with Internet ports are being used and an individual needs a room with an Internet port, the individual may use a large study room.

4.    Study room users are responsible for any damage in the rooms. The Library’s “Code of Conduct in the Library Policy” also applies to the use of the study rooms. The study rooms are not sound proof. Noise and conduct is expected to be kept to a level that will not disrupt persons in the library.

5.    Food is not allowed in the study rooms.

6.    The Library is not responsible for accidents, injury, loss or damage to the private property of individuals or organizations.
