Youth Programs
- Programs are offered for children ages 12 months and older.
- All story times include age appropriate stories, fingerplays, and interactive activities.
- All other programs are literacy based.
- An adult is required to stay with children attending Book Babies and Toddler Time. An adult bringing children for all other programs is required to stay in the building and may sit in if that makes the child more comfortable.
- A brief description of programs with ages and dates follows. Registration for all programs opens one week before the event.

TODDLER TIME: For children age 2 with an adult. This program lasts approximately 20 minutes and is offered from September – Thanksgiving and January - May. Registration is requested.
Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30 a.m.
STORY TIME: For children age 3 – 6. This program lasts approximately 30 minutes and is offered from September – Thanksgiving and January - May. A 6 – 8 week session is also offered during the summer. Registration is requested.
Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.
Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
BOOK BABIES: For children age 12 – 24 months with an adult. This 15 – 20 minute program introduces babies to literature and models story-telling techniques for parents. Included are songs, fingerplays, and simple stories. Registration is required as space is limited. This program is offered during the fall and spring. Please check with the Youth Services Desk for exact dates.

FAMILY STORY TIME: Drop in story time for families with children age 2 and older. Pajamas are welcome. This program lasts approximately 20 – 30 minutes. Offered at 7:00 p.m.

Explorers Club: For children kindergarten and older. Do you wonder how or why things happen? Children are invited to investigate science concepts with simple hands-on experiments.
Registration is requested.
Third Monday
4:15 p.m.
Science Sleuths: This is a new program for children in 3rd – 5th grades. Discover the joy of experimenting with science in our every day lives. Snacks provided.
Registration is requested.
Fourth Monday
4:15 p.m.
LUNCH BUNCH: Daytime book discussion group for children age 3rd – 5th grade. Bring a sack lunch to share while discussing favorite books. Age appropriate literacy activities are included.
First Thursday during school year, 12:00 Noon
SCIENCE SLEUTHS, JR: This hands-on science program is designed for kids ages 3 – 6. We will explore simple scientific principles and maybe do a craft.
Registration is requested.
Second Friday
10:30 a.m.
PREVUE CLUB: Grades 6th – 9th. Be the first to read the new young adult books. Join us for discussion and activities.
Third Monday, 7:00 p.m.
