Urbandale Public Library/A Tree Grows in Brooklyn Selected as 2018 All Urbandale Reads Book

Join a special book club for the entire city!  This summer, we’re introducing our first-ever All Urbandale Reads program where all community members are encouraged to read the same book and join in on a public book discussion.

During the Summer Rocks in Urbandale! summer reading kickoff event on Saturday, June 2, Urbandale Mayor Robert Andeweg shared a proclamation naming  “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” by Betty Smith as the official All Urbandale Reads selection for 2018.  The Library has several copies available in a variety of formats (large print, audio, e-book), so please check out one to read today!
