The Urbandale Library is once again sponsoring an adult summer reading program, Groundbreaking Reads. The 2013 adult summer reading program is a for-fun reading opportunity for adults to explore great books and win prizes! Adults may get started by picking up a Groundbreaking Reads packet at any Urbandale Library service desk starting Sunday, June 2nd. The 2013 summer reading program will run from June 2nd to July 29th. Each participant will receive a free gift (while supplies last) and will also be eligible to win small prizes donated by local sponsors.

DIG INTO READING!

Dig Into Reading

June 2nd – August 3rd
Dig Into Reading this summer by joining the summer reading program.

Children of all ages are encouraged to select library books and keep a record of what they have read. The first session of Dig Into Reading begins on Sunday, June 2nd and ends on Saturday, June 29th. Participants who reach their reading goals will have an opportunity to win prizes. Reading packets will be available to pick up starting Tuesday, May 28th.

  • SEEDLING
    This is a simple reading program for babies and toddlers who enjoy being read to.
  • SPROUTS
    Parents of children ages 3 to 6 are encouraged to keep track of the books that are read aloud to them.
  • EXCAVATORS
    This reading program is for children ages 7 to 11 who are ready for longer chapter books. Keep track of minutes read to earn prizes.
  • ARCHEOLOGISTS
    Tweens and teens ages 12 to 17, keep track of minutes read to enter your name in a drawing for great prizes.
