Storytime

The age recommendations provided for the storytime programs described below indicate the developmental level the program targets.  However, every child is different. If you’re not sure if a storytime is the right fit for your child, we encourage you to try it out.

Storytime is a fantastic opportunity to bond and share the learning experience, so caregivers should plan on attending and participating! No registration required.  Siblings welcome!

Book Babies (0-24 months): Bounce, sing, shake, and play with us at this “can’t sit still” storytime.

  • Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:00 AM
  • 1st and 3rd Saturdays at 9:30 AM

Toddler Time (2-3 years): This short-attention span storytime is full of music, stories, and rhymes.

  • Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:00 AM

Family Storytime (4+ years): Join us for fun and interactive stories to keep the whole family entertained and engaged.  Pajamas are welcome at our evening session!

  • Tuesdays at 7:00 PM
  • Wednesdays at 9:30 and 10:15 AM
  • 1st and 3rd Saturdays at 10:30 AM

School-Age Special Programs

 

Note:  Some of our regular programs are on hold over the summer.  Please check our events calendar for the most current information about our programs.

 

Minecraft:  Kids of all ages are encouraged to test their Minecraft skills.

  • Tuesdays from 4:00 – 5:00 PM

Homeschool Events (Ages 6-12):  Each month we’ll be exploring a different topic, from paper airplanes to genealogy.  Check the calendar to see what we’re learning about this month. Registration required.

  • 2nd Tuesday of the month at 1:00 PM

Hour of Code (Ages 6-12):  Join us for an introduction to coding for beginners!  There will be both digital and real world activities to provide an introductory experience to coding and computer science.  No previous coding necessary, but some typing skills are needed.. Space is limited, so please register each child who will participate! Adults should plan on attending and participating with kids ages 10 and under.   For ages 6 – 12, registration required.

  • 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4:00 PM

Music from Scratch (Ages 10-14):   .In this 8-week course, kids ages 10-14 will learn the basics of computer science as they work with Scratch to play musical notes, create a music video, and more! Projects are cumulative, so please plan on attending most weeks! Registration required.

  • Mondays, June 4 – July 23 at 6:00 PM

After-School Art (Ages 6-12):  We’ll create art together in a 30-minute workshop that will unleash the inner artist in your child!  Registration preferred.

  • 3rd Friday of the month at 4:00 PM
