Fines and Fees Notice

On April 23, 2012, the Urbandale Public Library Board of Trustees approved the following changes to library fines and fees to take effect on July 1, 2012:

Late Fine

Increase to $0.15 per item, per day
-This is a $0.05 increase

Unclaimed Hold Fine

A $0.50 fine will be charged for each hold not canceled prior to the item becoming available or picked up within the five (5) day hold period
-This is a new fine and will only be applied to accounts where items are placed on hold and not picked up within the 5 day hold period
-Placing items on hold and picking them up within the 5 day hold period remains a complimentary service

Interlibrary Loan Fee

Increase to $1.50 per item
-This is a $0.25 increase

Book Sale Fee

Increase to $1.00 per item
-This is a $0.75 increase

Faxing Fee

Increase to $1.00 per page sent or received
-This is a $0.75-$0.90 increase
