Art UP Close Program 2019
Meet the Artist: Marcia Leeper
Marcia Leeper will serve as the Urbandale Public Library’s Art UP Close resident artist from September 1 – November 30, 2019. She will lead a variety of workshops and presentations for all ages.
My careers and life experiences have been rich and varied. Each portion of my life has been connected by creativity and teaching. These experiences have included being a professional Girl Scout, a coordinator of staff training at a home for children with disabilities, working at a garden magazine for 20 years, and planning and facilitating presentations in horticulture in many locations in Iowa and around the country.
Now I am recycled and composting beautifully, working in gardens and at a greenhouse in the spring. I can’t wait to see what will be next in this world of art that is emerging for me.
Gallery Exhibition & Reception
Leeper’s work will be on display in the Urbandale Public Library Art Gallery from September 15 – October 31. Meet the artist at a special reception in the Art Gallery on Saturday, October 5 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM.
