Friday Flicks
Enjoy a free movie with other adults at the Library each Friday afternoon. All showings are at 1:00 PM. For age 17 & up.
December 1: A Christmas Carol (1939, not rated, 68 minutes) – Miser Ebenezer Scrooge has a change of heart after spirits whisk him into the past, present and future.
December 8: Christmas in Connecticut (1945, not rated, 105 minutes) – A magazine columnist totally devoid of the homemaking skills espoused in her column needs get some fast, as her boss has invited himself and a recently returned war hero for her home for Christmas.
December 15: White Christmas (1954, not rated, 105 minutes) – The classic musical about two guys that become a popular song and dance team and play at a resort for charity. Irving Berlin wrote the title song.
December 22: Babes in Toyland (1961, rated G, 106 minutes) – Santa Claus’s incompetent assistants accidentally make some giant wooden soldiers, which come in useful when a villain tries to take over Toyland.
December 29: It’s a Wonderful Life (1946, rated PG, 130 minutes) – George Bailey, a desperate and suicidal man, is visited by a guardian angel who shows him how important he has been to those around him in his life.
Monthly Movie Night for Adults
December 21, 6:00 PM: Holiday Affair (1949, not rated, 86 minutes)
Starring Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh, this film follows a young widow who is romanced by a sales clerk whom she inadvertently got fired. For age 17 & up.
