Urbandale Public Library/New Digital Access Card

We’re expanding access to our resources to best meet the needs of community members looking for ways to stay informed and entertained while staying close to home. Now is a great time to catch up on your reading, and we hope this change will make doing so a little easier!

Digital Access Library Cards

We’re pleased to offer a digital-only access library card for people who currently do not have an Urbandale Public Library Card and are interested in checking out eBooks, e-audiobooks, and other online resources. (If you already have an Urbandale Public Library card, you don’t need to sign up for a digital card.)

Digital access cards will be valid for 90 days, and are only for downloadable digital items (eBooks, etc) and access to our online databases. Please note, items from Overdrive and hoopla are only available to Urbandale, Windsor Heights, and rural Polk County residents. However, all cardholders can access our extensive collection of items available from Rbdigital and our long list of informative databases!
