To make an appointment to use a computer, sign up online or call the library at 515-278-3945.

If you need to cancel your appointment, you can do so using the confirmation link you received online or call the library at 515-278-3945. As a courtesy to others, please give us at least an hours’ notice if you need to cancel your appointment.

Printer Access – Need to print? While a printer will not be available in the Community Room, print jobs can be sent via email to library@urbandale.org. Please use “Printing Request” in the subject line and include your first and last name. Library staff will work with you to schedule a time to pick up your print job.

The first 10 pages of printing will be free. For larger print jobs, we will bill your library account and you may pay online (preferred method), by phone, or by check in the mail.

Safety Precautions & Guidelines

We’ve put some health/safety precautions in place to protect you and our staff. In addition, we’re also asking all visitors to our building to follow a few guidelines to protect yourselves and help make lobby service run smoothly.

As a safety precaution:

  • The library will be closed each weekday between 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm so our staff can clean the public areas. As always, public areas are also cleaned every evening.
  • Returned items are isolated for at least 3 days before they are checked back in.
  • We ask that you please reserve the first hour of lobby service for those patrons who are at a higher risk for COVID-19.
  • Our staff wear masks, and we encourage visitors to wear them as well. We will have disposable masks available for your use, while supplies last.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are available in the lobby.
  • The layout and flow of our lobby service area has been arranged with social distancing guidelines in mind.
  • We are limiting the number of visitors who can access our lobby at a time. Please send only one member of your household into the building.
  • If you feel sick, please stay home.
  • Our curbside pickup service will remain in place as another option for those who may feel uncertain about coming into our building.
