Kong Ho’s luminous paintings merge Eastern philosophy with Western visual traditions through layered compositions, floral imagery, and flowing patterns that evoke contemplation and change. In contrast, Dr. Martie Geiger-Ho’s ceramic works emerge from a tactile engagement with clay, embracing geological textures, elemental processes, and the spiritual resonance of the material itself. Drawing inspiration from nature, memory, and the passage of time, we investigate how organic forms evolve, erode, and renew themselves through both physical and spiritual processes.  | Kong Ho My work explores the intersection of Eastern philosophy and Western visual traditions through paintings that reflect themes of impermanence, memory, and transformation. Influenced by Zen Buddhist ideas of presence and transience, I create layered compositions that merge contemplative space with illusionistic detail. Floral forms, nautilus spirals, and flowing patterns function as symbolic elements that evoke both personal reflection and universal experience. Through glazing techniques, luminous surfaces, and shifting spatial relationships, I investigate the tension between the fleeting and the enduring. My paintings move between representation and abstraction, inviting viewers into spaces where perception remains fluid, and meaning continually evolves. Having lived and worked across East and West, my artistic language is shaped by cultural dialogue and a sense of interconnectedness.
