Homebound Delivery Service
The Library offers delivery of books and audiobooks for adult patrons who are permanently homebound or temporarily homebound. A staff member will deliver and pick up the materials once a month. The patron must be a registered Urbandale Public Library cardholder in good standing. Email Susan Nass or call 515-331-6776 for more information. Note: DVDS and Blu-Rays are excluded from this service due to their shortened check out time.
Notary Public Service
Notarization is the ‘act of witnessing’ by the Notary Public in accordance with specifications of state law. Notarization involves signed documents and requires the notary to ensure the signer’s identity and willingness to sign. A notary is available at the Library most weekday hours and some evenings and weekends. There is no charge to use this service.
For more information, view the Urbandale Notarial Guidelines or call 515-278-3945.
Our Reference Desk staff offer test proctoring services for both written and on-line tests. There is no charge for this service, however, any postage and printing fees are the responsibility of the student. Students should notify the Library in advance to arrange a time for the exam. Most exams are taken in a study room or on an Internet terminal near the reference desk. View the Test Proctoring Guidelines for more information or call 515-278-3945.
